Why Safety Matters

Employers who integrate and implement effective safety and health management programs are more likely to significantly reduce workplace injuries, workers compensation costs and lost productivity.  Below are two case studies which show the valuation link between workplace safety and overall company success.

In a 2012 Liberty Mutual Workplace Safety Index Report, it was estimated that US employers paid almost $1Billion per week for direct workers compensation costs for the most disabling and significant workplace injuries in 2010.

In 2007 Goldman-Sachs JBWere Report showed “valuation links between workplace health and safety (WHS) factors and investment performance.”
